Gottfried Burckhardt was born in Stuttgart, the capital of the "Wild South" of Germany and well known as the home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. He works as engineer in the R&D center of a leading sports car manufacturer and is involved with vehicle validation and testing. He is a regular participant at HP Palmtop user meetings in Germany and on CompuServe's HPHAND forum.
